Wednesday 4  and Thursday 5 June 2014 in Dokkum (NL),

PROGRAMME

WEDNESDAY 4 JUNE 2014

Morning

Arrival and check in. Best travel options (plane) through Schiphol/Amsterdam airport. Onwards travel by train to Leeuwarden (www.ns.nl), a shuttle bus or taxi from there to be arranged.

Details on these travel arrangements have been discussed with those travelling by plane. For hotel details: see last page.

The meeting sessions will be organised in a central room, which can be divided into 4-5 workshops (tables) if required. Internet access will be provided.

Excursions to different sites (also open to additional guests from you or new partners!):
 
  • Streekhuis Burgum: Kenniswerkplaats -> governance, CAA approach and Branding/”Dwaande” campaign (all, 2 separate groups to choose from for next stops:) 
  • Group 1: Tour to/ information about a regional nature and tourism project “Noardlike Fryske Walden”;
  • Innovatiehuis Lauwersdelta, Buitenpost (Henk Evers)  -> SME Empowerment and Broadband, presentation on the concept and various projects; Walk from the Innovatiehuis to De Kruidentuin
  • Group 2: Educational perspectives related to chances for the region: International school exchange, ‘Klasseglas’ and other projects (school Harkema, Willem Wouda; followed by a presentation (Detje Kortwijk/Lieuwe Feenstra) on sustainable education and development at the Friese Poort, and:
  • (second stop) Health and community building -> dorpsportaal Burum and related (health) services and projects (Ms. Trees Flapper).
  • Due to limited space on location some presentations may be scheduled earlier, at the Streekhuis!

Final, Vital (Self-)Reflective session at De Kruidhof, Buitenpost: after a short session with Niels Götz on the “tasks” provided at the morning training, there is time for short relaxing walks through the herb garden and to have a look at and talks about some regional (Dwaande) products and projects …

Travelling and booking details:


Departure: either after closure on Friday (early or late afternoon, depending on participation in the network cafe, or in the weekend of 7/8 June. Excursion, side programme for those staying longer: optional, can be discussed!

Travelling: on arrival at Schiphol airport, onward travel by train to Leeuwarden is the best option. Travel information: www.ns.nl

From Leeuwarden and/or other stations (on request) a shuttle bus or taxi can be provided, depending on the arrival times.

Hotel Information: Please check your hotel bookings (on arrival or before) if necessary! Each partner is responsible to (book and) pay for his or her own accommodation. Please let us know any changes on your travellng and booking details in the registration form provided!
