Community building empowers people to help themselves and each other. This may apply to care and welfare services, labour or finding ways of reinforcing the attractiveness of the region.
community building is a way to increase economic development, individual well-being and helps to reduce negative impacts of otherwise disconnected individuals. E-services nowadays play an important role in facilitating inhabitants and their social environment.
In the Vital project a wide variety of practices were utilized for community building, ranging from simple events and actions to larger–scale efforts such as mass events and even building and/or infrastructure projects that involve local participants.
